Sunday Calvin (another boxer :) showed up. Once again Ziggy was a pill. He barked orders at him and Calvin ignored him. It seems to be the quickest way to settle Zig down. Everyone played in the yard chasing one another and barking at nothing. I left the door open and Pete watched them when they came out to inspect his yard work and I cuddled with them when they'd had enough fresh air and sunshine. No one ate more than a few bites. Ziggy curled up in my lap and ignored everyone. He didn't care who got on the couch as long as they offered him a little body heat to steal. The boxers are fantastic together. Ziggy jumps in now and then but he did get stepped on during a rather rowdy bout of play and he decided he's more comfortable curled up under a blanket next to me. Dexter has "adopted" Ziggy and Xena's Christmas Chicken. HE LOVES IT!!! He squeaks it nonstop and carries it around with him everywhere. Today I had a couch full of very tired pups. They took up every inch and everyone spooned and huddled together for a good nap. Everyone ate this afternoon. We spent quite a bit of time outside today. I tried to make sure everyone would have a big appetite tonight.

Ziggy had made sure to poke his nose in everyone's business today. He doesn't even care what they are doing as long as they know he KNOWS what they're doing lol He's eating fine and has enjoyed stepping all over everyone else till he finds just the right place to curl up for a nap or for the night. None of the other dogs seem to even notice him climbing all over them. Xena at a big breakfast and dinner. She has been actively playing with "the boys". She has finally figured out that if she doesn't claim a spot on the couch before everyone else she either has to sleep on her blanket or muscle her way in somewhere. As long as she has a spot Ziggy has a spot because he'll perch right on top of her. But he always thanks her for her help by giving her a nice loving face bath.

Boxer playtime.

Ziggy and Xena flew out the door to warn me of the threat of deer. All the other dogs joined and by the time I got the video camera they were still visible but they didn't show up on camera. Xena was especially on guard and continued to cry and whimper while the other dogs lost interest and snooped around the yard. Ziggy has been a complete lap dog and has claimed my lap snorting at anyone who tries to muscle in.
