Dexter still hasn't eaten a full meal, but we have gotten him to eat a couple of his Greenies and one of his pig ears.  His first day here was a little boring as he was our only guest so we played with his Moose and his pig ear, but today another Boxer (Xena) and a Boston Bull Terrier (Ziggy) arrived and they'll be here for all of Dexter's stay so that should help him have some fun and play time.  The three of them are getting along fine.  Dexter really likes one of the toys that Dexter and Ziggy brought, it's a very annoying Chicken but every time Ela puts it away Dexter whines until he gets his way and she gives it back.  It's a contest of wills and I'm not sure who'll win yet.

It's been BOXERific around here. Dex was a little sad and whiney after you left. He was cuddling up with us almost immediately but still checking the door regularly to see where you went. We gave him all of his babies, his blanket and his treats but there was no satisfying him. He did finally manage to fall asleep. Then the excitement began. Xena and Ziggy showed up!! Xena is a beautiful female boxer and Dexter was very happy to meet her. They started playing right off the bat. Ziggy was a little slower to warm up. Dexter didn't mind his attitude which helped Zig drop it quickly. After that the three were buddies. Sunday Calvin (another boxer :) showed up. Once again Ziggy was a pill. He barked orders at him and Calvin ignored him. It seems to be the quickest way to settle Zig down. Everyone played in the yard chasing one another and barking at nothing. I left the door open and Pete watched them when they came out to inspect his yard work and I cuddled with them when they'd had enough fresh air and sunshine. No one ate more than a few bites so we bribed Dexter with a little bit of Mighty Dog in his food and that got him to finish his entire dinner last night.

Dex is having a lovely time with all his friends. It was another gorgeous day and we all enjoyed the great outdoors. He is eating fine now although he isn't taking his greeny or pig ear. Thank you for the advice on hiding the Chicken it's really come in handy. He has had a very exhausting day with the "pack" and they have all really worn one another out. I'm expecting a quiet relaxing evening.

Dexter has a wild crush on Xena and gives her no peace. He follows her around, curls up next to her making sure the only other guy that gets her attention is her little brother Ziggy. I've had to come to her rescue a few times as he is extremely smitten with her.
